Not every project can be handled with a wheelbarrow. Some projects require a bigger solution; that’s where the dump trailer comes in!

Equipment & Towing Capability
Can my specific vehicle safely tow this trailer?
This trailer can only be pulled by a 3/4-Ton pickup truck or larger. Vehicles with lower tow capacity will not be considered for the self-haul service.
What size ball hitch do I need?
This trailer will accept a 2 5/16-inch ball hitch.
What type of wiring plug is required?
This dump trailer requires a 7-way round connector for wiring.
Does the trailer have its own brakes, or will I rely entirely on my vehicle’s brakes?
This dump trailer DOES have its own brakes.
Does the rental include necessary tie-downs, straps, or ramps?
Two wheel-blocks will be included in all rentals to facilitate safely parking the trailer. These wheel-blocks must be returned with the rental. Failure to return all equipment will result in an additional fee to replace the supplies.
Cost & Policies
What are your daily, weekly, and monthly rates?
Hilltop Rental & More, LLC offers three distinct packages for dump trailer rental.
- 24-Hour Self-Haul – $125/day. Renter is responsible for picking up and returning the dump trailer on time to our Tuscumbia location. Any dumping fee accrued is the responsibility of the renter.
- 3-Day Rental – $425 – Drop-off, pick-up, and dumping fee are included in the flat fee for 3-Day Rental. Exceptions may apply if the rental trailer exceeds the established two-ton dumping limit.
- 7-Day Rental – $550 – Drop-off, pick-up, and dumping fees are included in the flat fee for 7-Day Rental. Exceptions may apply if the rental trailer exceeds the established two-ton dumping limit.
Are there mileage fees, or is mileage unlimited?
Renters are required to remain within a 60-mile radius of the home office in Tuscumbia, MO, unless otherwise approved by the Hilltop Rental & More, LLC owner or co-owner.
What is your security deposit amount, and when is it refunded?
A $50.00, non-refundable deposit is required via debit/credit card at the time of booking. Card information will be securely retained in case of additional charges due to damages or failure to comply with the signed contract and terms.
What is your cancellation policy?
Renter may cancel their booking up to the day of rental. The $50.00 deposit shall not be refunded upon cancellation.
Insurance & Liability
Does my personal auto insurance cover a rental trailer?
All Self-Haul Renters shall be required to provide proof of auto insurance. Please check with your auto insurance company for specifics regarding your coverage.
What damage protection or insurance options do you offer?
No additional damage protection or insurance is offered at this time.
What happens if the trailer breaks down or gets a flat tire on the road?
In the event of a flat tire while transporting the dump trailer, please contact the owner, Shawn Fisher, at 573-645-9355.
Who is responsible if the trailer or my cargo is stolen?
While in possession of the dump trailer until the trailer is dumped, the Renter assumes responsibility for the contents of the trailer.
Requirements & Logistics
What documents do I need to bring to pick up the trailer?
The following documentation is required of all Renters:
- Sign and date the Contract and Terms forms, ensuring the Renter is aware of the risks and responsibilities included in renting the dump trailer.
- Credit Card on file in the event of damages.
The following documentation is required for Self-Haul Renters in addition to the above:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Auto Insurance
How old do I need to be to rent a trailer?
21 Years of Age.
Can someone else drive the towing vehicle?
The Renter assumes responsibility for any and all damage that may occur to the trailer while in possession of the dump trailer. It is recommended that the Renter be the primary driver of any towing vehicle for the Self-Haul service.
What are your pickup and drop-off hours?
For Self-Haul Renters: – Pick Up/Drop Off may occur between 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM, or between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday.
For 3-and-7 day Renters, the dump trailer will be delivered between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM unless otherwise scheduled. Please reach out with questions regarding your specific requirements for additional details.
Do you offer after-hours drop-off?
Yes! For 3- and 7-Day rentals, please reach out with specifics regarding your project for additional details. Pre-approved after-hours return for Self Haul Renters is available upon request and approval.
